reservationsLocated on the western end of Mormon Lake, this picturesque campground is well shaded by ponderosa pines and white firs. Fishing, boating, hiking, wildlife viewing, windsurfing, mountain biking and photography are many of the things can can choose to do while camping at Dairy Springs Campground. While birdwatching, look for ospreys and northern harriers in the area.
There is wonderful hiking in the surrounding area. Trails with scenic overlooks of Mormon Lake, volcanoes and beautiful landscapes begin from the campground including Mormon Mountain Trail, which takes you to an elevation of 8449′ at the top of Mormon Mountain. The scenic town of Mormon Lake offers bike and boat rentals and if you don’t feel like cooking outdoors, the local steakhouse has great steaks and a wonderful menu.  Be aware, Mormon Lake usually dries out in the summer months.  Fishing and water activities are just west at Upper Lake Mary.

Directions

Drive south from Flagstaff 20 miles on Lake Mary Road to
Forest Road 90. Turn west on FR 90 and drive 3.5 miles to Dairy Springs Campground, 4.6 miles to Double Springs.
