Chevelon Crossing Campground is a long way from everything. The beauty alone will bring you here and the fishing isn’t bad either. There is no water here so make sure to bring plenty, it’s a long, long way back to the store in Forest Lakes. Chevelon Crossing Campground is open year round. You have to be careful after a good rain, because the roads can get a little slippery. This is a Pack It In, Pack It Out campground. There is no garbage service here. On the trip in keep an eye out for the local wildlife.
Chevelon Crossing campground is mostly used for the decent fly fishing in the area. Rainbow and Brown trout can be caught here.
